The sources added BJP will again rely heavily on the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will address to more than two dozen rallies in 122 constituencies, mostly in those regions where the party’s performance had been poor so far. The campaigning is to start by last week of January or first week of February.

On January 24 Modi may address a rally in West Bengal, where ruling TMC party under Mamata Banerjee has a strong hold.

The new strategy of BJP comes in the wake of losing Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh states in Assembly polls where Congress is forming government.

The Rahul Gandhi-led Congress witnessed landslide victory in Rajasthan, but fell short of a majority the other two states by a very small margin. With the support of independents and allies the party is in a comfortable position to form the government.

The Assembly polls brought Congress in the game for next year’s Lok Sabha elections and the party is now more confident to give a fight to Narendra Modi-led BJP party.
