Union Health Minister claims BJP to win 74 seats in Uttar Pradesh

Downplaying the alliance of BSP and SP in Uttar Pradesh state the Union Health Minister JP Nadda said Wednesday his Bharatiya Janata Party will win 74 seats out of eighty in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Union Health Minister claims BJP to win 74 seats in Uttar Pradesh

Nadda is the party’s election in-charge for UP and was addressing to senior office bearers in state capital Lucknow.

He said, “We shall increase our tally of Lok Sabha seats from the state by winning 74 seats, one more than last time.”

He was referring to the 2014 LS polls when BJP won 71 seats and its ally Apna Dal the other two.

Nadda justified his claim by saying the people of UP and India have inclination and affection towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the works of Central government.

He said the electoral plank of BJP will not be based on caste politics, but on development and the strategy is to grab more than half of the seats in UP.

The minister asserted allies of BJP are with the party and enjoy cordial relations even though there had been issues of understanding sometimes but those have been taken care.

When questioned why the Opposition are claiming no Modi-wave is seen this time Nadda said the forging of alliance itself tells Modiji has been recognized.

Earlier, BJP president Amit Shah too showed similar confidence declaring the party will get a bigger mandate in this election compared to that of 2014.

Meanwhile, literature highlighting Modi’s achievements are being distributed at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
