It is a general concept, psychologically, that approaching the court with acquisition on the government means the government must be wrong and the verdict to favor the complainant, said prime minister Narendra Modi Tuesday addressing at Republic Summit organized by the Republic News channel.
Modi cited Rafale issue adding this is the first time the court rebuked charge of corruption on a government with a verdict that work has been done with complete transparency.
The PM further continued that four years ago no one had thought such thing can happen in India.
He emphasized on Monday’s Delhi High Court verdict in which Congress leader Sajjan Kumar was sentenced on charges of 1984 anti-Sikh riots saying that four years ago no one thought people will get justice.
Modi reminded people growth story of the country in past four years adding India has gained position in the Ease of Doing Business ranking, from 142nd to 77th position. The growth rate will continue and soon India would be ranked in top 50 positions.
The PM emphasized on further growth by saying that in near future more people will be traveling by plane than air-conditioned train.
He compared the enhanced cleanliness achieved after Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in 2014.
Modi said, “We have the country’s pre-2014 image in front of us when the ambit of cleanliness was less than 40 percent. Now by the end of 2018, this has reached about 97 percent. This is the difference between past and present. We are presenting before the world a strong image of surging India.”
Modi added today there is policy-driven governance in India and the government is working on foundation of Predictable Transparent Policies.
