BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya said Saturday the party will grab about 25 seats in the state as people are angry against the ruling Trinamool Congress and there is no democracy.

The in-charge of West Bengal for BJP added further, “But the BJP will show that it is up to the challenge and will rally the masses against the state government.”

It is learned prime minister will be addressing two of the rallies in the state on February 2 and February 8, and Amit Shah on January 29.

Vijayvargiya said BJP is seeking to hold 150-200 rallies in the state as Amit Shah has identified West Bengal is one such state in the country where the party can boost its tally in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

There are 42 seats in West Bengal and BJP managed to win just 2 in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

Union ministers Smriti Irani, Sharmendra Pradhan, Rajnath Singh and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan too will be seen at some of the rallies in West Bengal.
