Grand alliance of opposition parties are short term: Modi

The formation of grand alliance against Bharatiya Janata Party is just a short-term, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday during an interaction with booth-level workers from five Parliamentary constituencies in Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Grand alliance of opposition parties are short term- Modi

Modi said the opposition is trying to build their own empire while his party is looking ahead in empowering the people of India.

He added the parties involved in grand alliance wants to benefit their respective parties while BJP wants to serve India in every way.

The PM further said other parties follow the politics of divide and rule for vote-bank building while BJP does not believe in such strategies to win elections and come to power.

Modi said, “The upcoming polls are important for the BJP and the country to further our development agenda. On one hand we have our development agenda and on the other, there are opportunistic alliance and dynastic parties.”

He aded if Narendra Modi is not good and if his government is not working, why there is the need of forming a grand alliance instead of being confident in their own respective parties.

He said the opposition knows this is a working government and they mainly fear this in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Modi continued saying that women, youth, farmers and several other sections of society have strong bond with his government.

Just a day before Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party announced alliance to go together in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming general elections. Their effort is to counter the BJP.
