Congress giving lollipops to farmers with loan waives: Modi

Congress was a factory of lollipops and so the cannot be trusted, said prime minister Narendra Modi on Saturday while addressing a public gathering in Ghazipur.

Modi

He added even though the Rahul Gandhi-led party overturned governments in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, but in the both the states the farmers still stand in long queues to get urea.

Modi reminded similar stories from Karnataka where making a backstage entry the Congress gave lollipops to the farmers in terms of assurances and loan waiver promise, but until now just 800 people got their loan waived.

The PM emphasized on the phrase that Congress cannot be trusted as the party just has lollipops to give.

Modi released a postal stamp on legendary king Suheldev in Ghazipur and laid foundation stone for a medical college. This was his second trip this month to Uttar Pradesh after visit is his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi where he launched South Asia Regional Centre of the International Rice Research Institute.

He launched a comprehensive pension management software named SAMPANN (System for Accounting and Management of Pension).

Both Varanasi and Ghazipur are NDA stronghold and Modi had earlier described himself as watchman of the people.

Meanwhile, Congress hit back Modi saying neither they sleep not allow the PM to sleep until loans of farmers are waived.

The reaction of Congress came as a response to BJPs allegation that farmers are being misled on loan waiver promises.
