China, India Should Stop Getting Subsidies from United States: Trump

United States President Donald Trump said growing economies like China and India should grow faster than any other developing nation, but subsidies received by them from Washington should be stopped.

China, India Should Stop Getting Subsidies from United States- Trump

Trump added addressing to a fundraiser event in North Dakota’s Fargo city, “We have some of these countries that are considered growing economies. Some countries that have not matured enough yet, so we are paying them subsidies. Whole thing is crazy. Like India, like China, like others we say, ‘oh, they’re growing actually’.”

Amidst applause from audience the president said the World Trade Organization (WTO) is worst of all and accused it for letting China become a “great economic power”.

He continued saying that US is a developing nation as he wants to downgrade the country from ‘developing nation’ category as they too are growing, and growing faster than anybody.
Talking about the tariff war with China Trump said he is a good fan of Chinese president Xi Jinping but has told him US need to be fair and can’t allow them to take $500 billion a year and rebuild itself.

Trump said wealthy nations should pay to US for the security received year after year from outside harm and not to take the support for granted.

The president continued, “We have the biggest military cost in the world. Most of it goes to protecting outside countries, some of whom don’t even like us.”

An appeal

The legacy of IPA, founded by Nikhil Chakravartty, the doyen of journalism in India, to keep the flag of independent media flying high, is facing the threat of extinction due to the effect of the Covid pandemic.
