BJP, RSS Going The Whole Hog To Retain Uttar Pradesh

By Pradeep Kapoor

LUCKNOW: BJP-RSS and other
organisations are working day and night to retain 71 seats won by the party in
2014 Lok Sabha elections. BJP and Sangh Parivar are working to take on the
alliance of SP and BSP on one hand and resurgent Congress with the arrival of
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on the other.

BJP is banking on the
polarisation of Hindu votes in the name of construction of Ram Temple at
Ayodhya before the elections. BJP RSS VHP and sants are talking about Ram
temple and the latest move of central government in SC to demand 2.77 acre
undisputed land in Ayodhya vback to Ram Janam Bhumi Nyas is also aimed at reviving
hindutva votes.

BJP national President Amit
Shah also said in Lucknow that his party’s government wanted that a big Ram
temple at the original site. RSS has also appointed incharge in each Lok Sabha
constituency to get the feedback at ground zero regarding the issues and
performances of local MP. Their feedback and report will decide whether
particular MP should be given ticket or not. Senior functionaries of RSS are
touring different parts of state to interact with local leaders.

BJP has given call to achieve
the target of 50 percent of total votes that is why booth level workers and
incharge are given importance.  BJP
national President Amit Shah also addressed meeting of booth level incharges of
14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Lucknow on January 31. In order to mobilise
upper caste and Yogi Government has adopted 10 per cent reservation. BJP
leaders and workers have been asked to publicise this decision to village
level.

BJP and the members of Sangh
Parivar are also working to mobilise non-Yadav backwards and non- Jatav Harjans.
With the formation of SP-BSP it is assumed that powerful Yadav and jatav Communities
would follow Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati. BJP has utilised the services deputy Chief
Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya to mobilise support of backward communities.

During past few months there
have been several meetings of members of different castes addressed by CM Yogi
Adityanath and his deputy Keshav Prasad Maurya. It would be worth mentioning
here that BJP gaingned due to rainbow coalition of different castes and
strategic alliance with Apna Dal and Om Prakash Rajbhar.

Now both the leaders Anupriya
Patel of Apna Dal and Om Prakash Rajbhar who has good influence in MBC of
eastern UP are threatening to quit NDA. Both the leaders are not attending
important meets. They have blamed CM Yogi for not following coalition dharma.

BJP has also tried to
hardshell ardh Mahakumbh at Allhabad and change of name of city to Prayag and
showcase developmental work of central and state governments through
exhibitions and other programs to mobilise support for the party during
the  forthcoming elections.

BJP is also strengthening
Pragatisheel Samajwadi Morcha of Shivpal Yadav to damage Akhilesh Yadav and his
Samajwadi Party. Shivpal Yadav ,who is upset with his nephew Akhilesh Yadav for
neglecting his uncle, is making inroads in Yadav community and Muslims.

How far Shivpal Yadav success
in his mission is yet to be seen but whatever support he gets from Yadav’s and
Muslims, would be loss of Samajwadi Party.(IPA

An appeal

The legacy of IPA, founded by Nikhil Chakravartty, the doyen of journalism in India, to keep the flag of independent media flying high, is facing the threat of extinction due to the effect of the Covid pandemic. Only an emergency funding can avert such an eventuality. We appeal to all those who believe in the freedom of expression to contribute to this noble cause.
